Cubs vs. Cardinals: The Rivalry at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
Daily: 9 am - 5 pm
Visitors will see rare artifacts and photographs. They’ll learn about legendary players like Mordecai Brown and Rogers Hornsby and newer stars like Jake Arrieta and Yadier Molina. They’ll also be able to interact with the exhibit by sharing their own Cards-Cubs memories, answering trivia questions and playing a home run derby as their favorite team. “The Rivalry” was developed in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, an unprecedented partnership from all three organizations for an exhibit of this type.

Holidays at the White House: A Presidential Christmas at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
Daily: 9 am - 5 pm
Just like families across the world, First Families celebrate the holidays in their own special ways. This exhibit, using materials from the Eisenhower, Kennedy, Clinton and George W. Bush Presidential Libraries and Museums, gives a glimpse of how some of our Presidents and their loved ones enjoyed the holidays in the White House. From family photos to White House invitations, from Christmas cards to colorful decorations for the tree, these treasured items from presidential collections give us a taste of what it is like to celebrate this joyous season with America’s First Families.

Holiday Market at Lincoln Memorial Garden
Friday: 4 pm - 7 pm; Saturday: 9 am - 4 pm; Sunday: 1 pm - 4 pm
Lincoln Memorial Garden kicks off the Holiday Season with an annual market featuring unique hand-crafted items perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts and decorations. The special holiday sale offerings include centerpieces, swags, wreaths and one-of-a-kind Christmas tree ornaments.

Super Hero Night with the Springfield Jr. Blues at the Nelson Center
Friday 7 pm - 10 pm
This is our first event joining forces with the Springfield Jr. Blues! Come out and meet us and help cheer on the Jr. Blues! We will also be helping celebrate the opening weekend of the Justice League Movie!

Memorial Festival of Trees at the IL State Fairgrounds
11/18/2017 - 11/26/2017: Times Vary by Day
A nine day holiday event featuring over 200 trees, wreaths and centerpieces; gingerbread cookie bakery, Candy Cane Express train and handcrafted village; and entertainment stage; a holiday boutique; photos with Santa; and a craft area for kids.

Springfield Holiday Farmers Market at the IL State Fairgrounds
Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm
Join us for the 11th annual Springfield Holiday Farmers Markets! Start a tradition and shop locally for fresh ingredients and unique gifts that will make all your holiday gatherings merry and bright.Held indoors in warm and cozy buildings on the state fairgrounds, each of the Holiday Farmers Markets proudly presents more than 40 vendors from central IL selling a wide variety of products, including pasture-raised turkeys, pork, beef, poultry, eggs, cheese, honey, apples, baked goods, cider, local beer and IL wine. It’s the perfect place to pick up truly unique and local holiday gifts and ingredients while also keeping your shopping dollars in the local community.

Create an Origami Baseball Glove - Did you know that Cardinal Pitcher W.L. Doak holds a 1922 patent on a baseball glove design that is the basis for modern gloves? Create your own origami baseball glove and see if you can catch a ball with it.

Broseph at Boondocks
Saturday: 7 pm
A six-piece Country Rock band from the Midwest.

Holiday Pops in the Heartland with the IL Symphony Orchestra at the Sangamon Auditorium
Saturday: 7:30 pm
Kick off your holidays with festive music and holiday songs. Holiday Pops in the Heartland conducted by Guest Conductor Thomas Heuser, is truly a community affair, as the ISO is joined by the Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony, Springfield Ballet Company, and Springfield Youth Performance Group. But that’s not all! The ISO provides soundtrack to Raymond Briggs' classic picture book The Snowman featuring Harrison Faulkner as the soprano soloist.

An American Ice Princess & Her Doll at the Nelson Center
Sunday: 11:45 am - 1:45 pm
A fall skating event and tea party! Free skating and skate rental. A visit to the manicure station and doll hair station. Tea, hot chocolate and elegant desserts. A chance to win the 2017 American Girl Doll of the Year "Grace" For pre-registered ticket holders only: A goodie bag and pair of ice skates for your doll or other favorite friend. Be sure to check out the silent auction table as well!

Giant Flea Market at the IL State Fairgrounds
Sunday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Features exhibitors displaying and selling all types of items.

The Brat Pack at Boondocks
Wednesday: 7 pm
80s Music Cover Band.

Fun Frosty Friday is a free family event that features a roaming magician, face painting, balloon artist, Life Size Candy Land Adventure, Hot Cocoa Bar, Civil War Tech, an Art Center, Prize Wheel, Barrel Train and more! Santa will be making an appearance as well!
